The high-vacuum insulation of the SCHOTT ICR collector tube, key to the excellent efficiency of the collector tube, is permanently maintained at less than 10-3 mbar with a getter. The absorber and mirror are located in the interior of the glass tube in the vacuum and therefore permanently and completely protected from weather effects. This assures a high energy yield and a consistently high performance for the entire lifespan. At the same time, the SCHOTT ICR collector tubes are very flexible in the ways they can be used in tube collectors..
